Anybody else get a Dev unit?

Just got one. I side loaded chrome and couldn't get out of the EULA text box to select "accept". There's no cursor like the Google TV. Installed chrome beta and was able to accept the EULA but again, no cursor, so I can't seem to select the omni box to type in a URL.

Side loaded an NES emulator and it opened a web page in chrome beta but I couldn't select anything. I try to play a game on it and it FCs right away.

Side loaded apps aren't displayed on the launcher, I have to go to settings, apps and open them from there.

Currently in the play store there are 4 apps: TED, Netflix, Plex and I heart radio. But there are about 20 games.

I installed Leo's fortune, which was demoed on android TV at io. At first launch it tells me I need to update Google play services, which opened up the play store and gave me the option to update. Went back into the game yet every time I attempt to log in to Google play games, it tells me Google play services needs to be updated. Other that that, the game runs smoothly and graphics are really good.

Overall it runs smooth. Hoping Google doesn't drop the ball on this like they did with GoogleTV.

Edit: I just paired a Bluetooth mouse and have a cursor now, chrome beta is working and loading pages just fine, even ones with ads (on Google TV's chrome pages with ads would cause chrome to go really slow and even crash).

I'm curious on the Netflix app if it does pre-fetching/caching or whatever like the Fire TV does. I know the Fire TV loads shit a lot quicker than my Roku 3.

I have two questions!

  1. How does plex run?
  2. How's the audio codec support? DTS? HD-Audio bitstreaming?

Thanks!

Have you tried XBMC? If so, how did it run?

Also, do you know if it supports refresh rate changes on the fly (source frame rate detection)?

Thanks.

Have you tried using any controllers with it? Ether via USB or wireless?
