Why isn't there a mic on the controller? It makes no sense to have a voice search button if there isn't a mic on the controller.

The ADT-1 is a dev kit. It's not intended to be put into production as is. For now the voice search functionality requires the Android TV Remote Control .

The (nexus player)[ www.google.com/nexus/player] has a "remote with voice search" but not on the gamepad.
