Does the Nexus Player work with Hotel WiFi?

by DaisyLee2010

The question is in the title. I'll be staying in a hotel for a while and my Chromecast won't work here, if android TV is like regular android will it let me click through the hotels WiFi log in page?

Mr_You

Side load a browser (or wait til someone approves their browser for Android TV) and I don't think it would be a problem.

EDIT: And I could be wrong. Oh you may need to attach a mouse?

I don't see how it could as it doesn't seem to have a web-browser, however I have gotten other devices activated on hotel wifi in the past by calling their wifi support desk and telling them i had a tablet that for some reason wasn't loading the logon page. They asked for the MAC address of the device and manually white-listed it for the network. I've done this in a couple different hotel chains, but ymmv.

Edit: Chromecast still probably won't work as most/all hotels have client isolation on, so wifi clients can't see/communicate with each other.

The Wi-Fi at my apartment requires login every so often. I side loaded Chrome and use my mouse and keyboard to sign in. It's annoying but works
