I saw today that some old googletv boxes might get upgrades to androidtv and I was wondering if anyone knows what they might be.
I'm not really familiar with androidtv, what are some flagship boxes?
I had built a htpc with openelec for kodi, but wonder if I can put android on there instead, or the transformer tablet?
The only current Android TV box is the Nexus Player. The Razer Forge TV and a bunch of smart TVs were just announced. They also announced that Google TV is retired and some devices will be updated but didn't say which ones.
There are no generic Android TV images. There are incomplete 3rd party ROMs for a few devices (Ouya). Don't think anyone is working on Android TV for tablets since there are already apps for using tablets as media player. Same with running Android on PCs.
