So where can I see this list of 600 new apps? I'm trying to decide if I should finally buy a Nexus Player and get rid of my Apple TV so I can once and for all liberate myself all things Apple.
Hmmm, this is something available to all AndroidTV platforms? Otherwise which ones? My Nexus sees no update available. You'd think it'd be the first to get it.
Edit: Although I do immediately see the new Google Play options. Definitely an improvement; still not sure if I like it enough to say it is "good" or even "okay".
Edit2: I guess M isn't out today. I'm not the only one confused by this, right?
The new update comes alongside Android TV update 5.5.15 that offers better organization for Android TV apps with new sections, categories, and improved navigation, opposed to just the selection of curated app lists that were previously available.
That part of the article reeeeeallly makes it seem like M was released today. Which it wasn't, unless I'm missing something? Not for months yet? Maybe they're just talking about a developer release that also came out today?
Play Store was updated and you can sideload the new store apk. M is out for developers only.
Hmm I don't think I saw 600 new apps, but it's certainly a step in the right direction. It's good to know they're planning to make some major feature improvements in M. USB storage as internal will take away the biggest limiting factor to the Nexus Player for someone like me who uses dedicated consoles for gaming.
