Does Android TV have multitasking? It seems like it would since it's just Android with the Android TV launcher.
It would be nice if they would let you double press the home button to open up a list of the apps that are running in the background like you can on normal Android.
That "list of the apps that are running in the background" is actually just a list of recently used apps. They may or may not be running in the background. On Android for smartphones if you want to see which apps are actually running you have to go into Settings -> Apps -> Running.
Android TV does multi-task. I can have TuneIn playing an audio stream while playing a game.
Unfortunately no, there is no multitasking or recent apps list on Android TV.
I'd like to know too, if I can launch Spotify and then launch a gamestream, and then switch back to shuffle my songs while playing?

Nvidia sorts apps and games by most recently opened.
It may not be multitasking in the same way that Mobile devices handle it but you should check out this app for the fastest app switching experience out there. Says it is for FireTV but almost everything works on Android TV as well.
