A few questions about my new SHIELD TV.

  1. I've heard that you can use the touchpad on the controller as a mouse cursor in sideloaded apps, is this true? If so, how do I do this?

  2. When running some PC-streamed games like Arkham Knight, the controller isn't detected at all, and in some others like Injustice: Gods Among Us, the on-screen help will not dismiss no matter what I do, presumably because that game starts with a launcher rather than fullscreen?

  3. I ordered from Amazon and have yet to find my codes for the Play Store credit and Play Music trial, should I e-mail them to request them or am I missing something?

  4. Has anyone any suggestions for essential apps/games?

  1. its not working atm, i think they removed it in some patch, maybe it will back in the future

Not sure what your particular issue is with the controller but I can tell you the controller works for me in AK. Make sure you've done all your firmware updates. I haven't tried injustice but Mortal Kombat X did work for me.

I had a similar controller issue and uninstalling and reinstalling geforce experience on my PC solved it. I ordered from amazon and had to email them to get my codes. Plex (or kodi) for local media streaming from your PC, pluto.tv for online tv, olliolli and your choice of emulators for gaming.

I didn't get my Google codes until a few days after actually receiving the device. You'll get 'em eventually.
