There are so many streaming platforms (fireTV, AppleTV, etc.) that content providers can not make an app for every possible platform so they will not create an app for Android TV unless they know there is demand.
I like this Android platform and I hope it is successful and the only way for it to be successful is if it has ALL of the content available.

Yeah I do this all the time, send them messages on social media also. I ussually do email and twitter. Many have eventually come through.
I emailed Amazon about both Chromecast and AndroidTV functionality. They politely told me to go pound sand.
