I have tried it. I am also unable to get CBS to work. So far I've tried CBS, TBS, and USA, but most crash when trying to play video. PBS crashes sometimes, but is watchable. For sideloaded TV apps that DO run, I often need to force the aspect ratio to portrait with an app called Ultimate Rotation Control.
Fortunately for Colbert tonight, I have an antenna :-)
The app has android tv support now. I installed it yesterday. It's pretty limited (begging for a watchlist) but it gets the job done.
You can use Google cast but I'm not sure if it'll work with live tv, it's not available in my area. Cancelled my trial.
