Anyone else having the same issue? Every time I press go to sleep from the controller or remote it powers down and then wakes right back up. No number of times pressings it fixes it. I have to get up and manually turn it off every time. Getting really annoying (first world problem I know)
This has been happening to me as well lately. The first time it happened, I tried putting it to sleep several times before unplugging it. Now it only happens every once in a while and will finally go to sleep after attempting about 2-3 times.
What is the proper way to make it sleep from controller? I know how to turn the controller off but it's never turned the device off at the same time (unless does from settings). One thing that happened to me a lot at first way my HDMI port was one that can send a wake signal to devices so it would constantly try & wake it back up until I switched ports.
Glad I opted to not update mine. I'd like to see Nvidia work hard at supporting the Shield TV.
Mine goes to sleep when I turn the tv off.
Mine goes to sleep just fine, with latest update ( bought mine on Friday and ran every update all at once. ) 16gb model.

Yeah, I was having this issue as well, I tried just about everything until it hit me.... You guys wouldn't happen to have a mouse connected to the shield? Unplug it. This did the trick for me.
A simple restart fixed it for me
