Hey guys, i was reading around, and its almost impossible to catch up with all the details from sellers of these boxes from china. I am mainly buying it so i can set up popcorn time and kodi, some web browsing youtube and such. I came up with these found boxes:
Any help in choosing would be appreciated, and also if those have better alternative please do recommend me one. :)
None of those boxes run the official "Android TV" OS that this forum is dedicated to.

I recommend the Shield if you can spare the extra money, or game a lot, or require 4K. The Nexus player is a great box that can be found for as low as $50. There may be a new Nexus player announced this coming Tuesday when the new Nexus phones get announced, but we're not sure yet.
Those all look super shady and aren't actually running the official AndroidTV OS. You can bet they'll never be updated past their shipping firmware and you won't get any sort of support for them.
Some people call these AMPs...Android Media Players...or Android Mini PCs. They were popular between Google TV and Google's second try Android TV. Tronsmart and Minix were the better brands.

Save yourself the headaches and grab a Nexus Player for $50.
actually what i wanted to say is that its android based player for tv, as i said i need couple of android apps that i am going to use like PopCorn time, Kodi etc. I don't actually need android tv OS.
Google needs to either rename the AndroidTV or pull these guy's rights to use the AndroidTV name. Call them CyanogenModTV
There is clearly damage being done to their trademark with these things
