IT FIXES OVERSCAN. I DON'T HAVE TO BUY A NEW TV.
Maybe now we can get HBO Now and a native Twitch TV app.
This is the update I was waiting for, only question left is whether to pull the trigger now or hold off for a black friday/holiday sale.
I was kinda hoping for some other interface tweaks like moving the netflix app. I also think android tv needs to update for me to truly enjoy the nvidia shield.
I am so glad they improved the HDMI-CEC controls.
Right now, it turns my TV on and switches to the correct input when I turn my shield controller on, which is nice, but it doesn't let me navigate with my TV remote, which is not nice.
It seems as though they've added the control functionality I have been missing! Hurray!
If Netflix would just get off their ass and integrate search and recommendations into the Android TV OS, and they would let us have an option to "disable Leaseback" so we could run traditional android apps on it (such as many that work perfectly with the Shield Tablets, that even have controller support like "Max Payne" for example) All would be gravy!
The update is available now
Can someone explain what audio passthrough means?
This should be coming out tomorrow (Oct 1st)
