FYI, if you have sideloded HBO Now, it won't work on marshmallow.
Nope, need to hook up to a PC. Download the Marshmallow release from Nexus System Images website, download Nexus Root Toolkit (google it). Enable developer options on Nexus Player by going to settings, then about, then tap build number 7 times. Then back out of settings, go back in then select developer options. Turn on USB debugging. Then open up nexus Root Toolkit, unlock your bootloader (left side), then choose the option on the fight to flash the system image you downloaded. Honestly if you haven't done it before it takes some work and it's probably not worth it. Just wait a week for the release.
