Just bought an NVIDIA Shield. My volume controls on the controller seem a little hit and miss. Is this normal?

They seem a little unresponsive. Also, how do you get it to just simply mute? I seem to do it on accident once in a while messing with the volume.

EDIT: Apparently mute has been removed. I wish they left it in as an option in the settings.

A kinda wierd thing about the controller is that the touchpad and volume buttons are really all one big button. If you are touching it in multiple places when you click it it might not be sure where you are actually trying to click, so make sure you are only using one finger at a time. That being said, it has been finicky for me too.

I RMA'd my gamepad as a result of this and the replacement they sent me does the same thing. Pretty frustrating issue.

ya these volume buttons on controller works pretty randomly

Mine does that sometimes too. I was hoping Nvidia would have fixed it with the last update but it still happens (though I've noticed not nearly as often).

I would highly recommend getting the controller stick. Perfect browsing experience + volume rocker (slider). Only use my gamepad for games

I just bought the shield too! Congrats. But I am having the same issue... To the point that I reach for my TV remote to control the volume instead of trying to use volume on the controller. I spent the 300 for the pro and am not happy with the controller at all. It's disappointing

My tablet controller and TV set controller both have this problem, I was hoping they were gonna fix it by the second iteration but oh well its a minor problem.
