I sideloaded an apk that turned out to be for Android, not android tv. Now I want to clean up my nexus player. Can't figure out how to remove the app.

Using adb, either:
adb uninstall com.company.apppackage
or
adb shell am start -a android.intent.action.DELETE -d package:<your app package>
This app does not appear under Settings > Apps. When I ran the installer, it did install but wouldn't open. Not sure if there is another way to uninstall this app.
Possibly a file explorer can do it
It doesn't sound like the app fully installed. Install ES File Explorer and see if that app can see it. If it can i am fairly sure it has the ability to remove the app. Otherwise it hardly seems like it is even noticeable or worth removing.
I installed the Android app for Popcorn Time instead of the AndroidTV app.
Not sure what directory it would have installed the files into, so I wasn't sure where to look using ES File Explorer.
Also, how do you do an adb command? Is there a command browser in the AndroidTV version of Android?
I need to find out to, I installed chrome but it won't open.
