I just bought the Himedia q3 box. It came with kodi preinstalled and had some addons, but most of them don't work or the content I can find is in other languages. What are some addons for streaming live TV in english and how can I improve lag and buffering?
Sorry this device does not run android TV. It runs standard android. You will have better luck in r/kodi or /minipcs

Not an official AndroidTV. I would recommend a couple sites but the hisilicon chip is not popular. You may have a tough time finding someone that can give you the settings. The one comment about trashing it is about accurate, I'd return it if possible and get an official AndroidTV.
Optimise it by throwing it in the trash and buying a Nexus Player.
