Want to see more support for apps and games for Android TV?

Email developers of applications or games you'd like to see on Android TV and ask when or if it'll will be supported soon. Let them know we're here and that there's market.

I've sent several out and got a typical "No plans at this time" mostly, but others thanked me for my feedback or said they're working on bringing their game to the Android TV platform.

I put my game on AndroidTV after just one user asked. Admittedly I had been considering it for a year, and it already had good controller support, but seeing just a single person actually want it added just the urgency needed to go through the rest of the process.

It's easy for devs to think no-one wants it ... when no-one is asking for it.

I'm going through my app list and emailing developers this, fee free to copy and paste it to all your favorite app devs too...

Hello! Just wanted to ask a simple request. Could you please add Android TV support for your app? The process is fairly easy and Google provides great documentation to do this. Controller support and a Leanback Launcher icon would be amazing. Thanks for your wonderful app.

Yeah, I wanted Solid Explorer instead of ESFile Explorer, the dev told me no plans to ever do so :(

I think there should be some sort of petition so developers can see how many people are interested in playing that game. I've sent out a few emails as well, but without a noticeable amount of interest it probably won't be that enticing.

Im worried that they focused on porting to apple tvos instead

This really does work.

I think the two most important apps not ported yet are chrome and firefox. And i can't understand why google doesn't want to do it

My biggest hope (and one I've been very vocal about) is for Amazon Prime Instant Video to come to Android TV. No luck yet...

I had also emailed HBO Go, HBO Now, Disney Junior, VUDU and WatchESPN. I just sent the emails last week, maybe HBO Go listened to me?
