Two Shields under same account...

by ghostyroasty

With black Friday around the corner, I'm debating on getting another Shield for my son's room. Would there be any issues using it under my play account / GeForce Now account? In the beginning I'll just be using it to stream videos via the many services available... But my son is starting to be more interested in gaming, so I thought about either getting another Shield, or putting my old ps3 in his room... But there is also the factor of power consumption when I bring the Ps3 in on the equation... Any thoughts?

In terms of account, it shouldn't be a problem. Google's store is set up to work with a variety of device. (Some Google Play Game stuff could be a little unfortunate. Saved games/achievements and stuff would be only on your account).

Power consumption is different, and I don't know your house's specs, but I don't imagine it would be a problem.

A Shield is a nice device, although the Android ecosystem won't have the expensive console games of the PS3.

Bandwidth would be a concern if you're streaming a video and your son is streaming a game.
