Wanted to confirm if this Sony Wireless Headset is compatible with Sony Android TV? It uses a USB dongle (not Bluetooth). Looking for someone that owns one to confirm. Thanks

I can't say about the Sony TV but I have the nvidia shield and when I plugged in the dongle it worked.
I use them all the time on the shield. Dongle in USB on the back.
I got the Sony xbr49x830cc and for the heck i tried using the PlayStation gold headset. Doesnt really work. That or just don't know how to activate it. Don't know if there is a pairing button on the headset because I tried pairing it via os and doesn't seem to work. Maybe a future update will make it compatible.

Thanks for the reply everyone. Sounds like it works on the Shield and Nexus Player, but not on the Sony TV.
Its little strange. If it works on the Shield Nexus Player, I would think it would work on any Android TV device. I have a headset on order and will report back once I have a chance to test it.
I wasn't expecting these to work, but on my nexus player using an otg adapter, it magically starts to output in mono. I've read online that some people can get other android devices to output in stereo, but at least the nexus can partially work. I'm guessing all other android TV devices will behave the same, mono.
