I think next year we will see a large jump in smart tvs powered by Android TV. The ecosystem is slowly maturing and we will see a similar effect that we saw in the smartphone market. Oems don't want to be bothered with building and maintaining a TV operating system. The open source nature of Android TV lends itself well to smart TV oems.

They should almost launch another "Nexus" Android TV as the Chromecast Pro. They'd have some pretty immediate brand recognition and probably would probably launch Android TV into the top two.
