Just bought Nvidia Shield TV of Amazon, comming in few days. Is there anything special I should now before I will start using this? I did a lot of search by myself, just wondering if there might be something I missed...

If you plan on streaming video from a local computer, Server or just having the videos on an attached hard drive or internal one if you have the pro version I would install Kodi from the Play store. Its a nice Media Center type app with a lot of plugins and support for movies.
The new version hopefully arriving at the end of the year or early next year will support HD audio if any of your videos are encoded with it and your audio receiver support it.
Also if you still enjoy Live TV I would look into buying an HDhomerun tuner. They stream TV channels over the Network to the shield and other devices.
