Are there any emulators for GBA with native androidTV apps? I am currently using My Boy! but to launch it I have to go through the sideload launcher. Some of the options are hard to use through the controller. Are there any emulators for GBA that work natively with android tv?

Works perfectly. He has a bunch of other emulators too. I've tested the SNES & GBA ones. Has full support for the shield controller & customisable UI. Got my Shield yesterday and it's already my go to PSP, GBA & SNES emulator console :)

You can easily install via the play store website on your pc instead of trying to find it via the TV UI.
try out some other launchers, leanback blows
Not sure about Gameboy but there are many NES, SNES etc emulators. Might want to try running the sideloaded app through this to see if it changes things.
