Philips Android TV and ZTE router do not seem to match. Has anybody else seen such a behavior and has some tips?

In my house I have one general router from my ISP (ZTE type router) and an repeater connected to the router (ASUS type repeater). If I have ASUS repeater ON I'm able to see the TV on my phone when I click the screen cast and also connect to it from time to time. But if I turn the ASUS off and have everything connected to ZTE I can't even see the TV.

Have you seen anything similar?

The devices need to be on the same subnet to see each other. I suspect something with your network setup is not maintaining a single LAN across all devices.

Well ... SCRAP THAT! I found the problem in the Google Cast Receiver app on my TV.

It seems that the new version of this app was causing all the confusion. Unfortunately I have not written down the version from which I downgraded.

What I did was I went to All Settings -> Setup -> General Settings -> Android Settings and in the Device Section I've chosen Apps. Now I went looking for anything that might have Cast in the name and I found in the Running Apps the app called Google Cast Receiver. I opened this app and clicked Uninstall Updates. After this it started working flawlessly. From any device.

The version I have now is 1.13.31432

Hope this helps someone else as well.
