Have used it most of the season on Android TV (Nexus player), chromecast, and the app side loaded on the Nexus player. The best quality was casting through the app. It would drop occasionally, and I'm guessing it's due to DirectTV or Time Warner. I side loaded the app last weekend (tablet version). The quality wasn't as "perfect" as casting and the screen ratio was off. There were points it was pixelated more on the side loaded version.
Isn't there a Plex NFL channel for this sort of stuff?

I use the NFL Mobile plugin through Kodi to watch my games. :P
I cast it from my phone to my shield. If it starts stuttering, I found that I have to disconnect and restart the cast.
There's some flash bug that crashes in chrome and firefox, so I wasn't able to cast from my computer the last time I tried.
