Would anyone be able to help me with getting uk tv channels on my shield tv? i live in the uk and am interested in the cumulusTV app but have no idea how to use it. any other app recommendations would be welcome although i would like the app to be compatible with the 'Live Channels' stock app
Okay so I'm up and running got CTV working and added a few test channels. It's a bit finicky to get the channels in-putted, make sure they work before wondering where you're going wrong. But it would be cool if someone could come up with a way to get a spreadsheet to output to a json file (any devs wanna jump in?) columns for channel number, name, image, url etc then save as json sync and roberts your fathers brother!
The cumulus app keeps crashing on launch on my nexus player but it seems pretty self-explanatory. Install on your phone/tablet create the .json file on your gdrive add the channels you want then sync with the android tv app and away you go?

I'm using dvblink in a windows machine with 2 sat cards for freesat. Devs currently working on a live channels app and I'm getting SD channels only in the live channels app. Not long until it all comes together
You need at least two things to get tv channels streamed through the Live Channels app. First is a tv tuner. This connects to your antenna or cable box and processes the signal. This new signal then has to be incorporated in a streaming app that you install on the shield TV. Said streaming app must then make itself available as a "source" for the Live Channels app.
In the US, HDHomerun is the product we use to accomplish this. I am not sure if that will work in the UK, but there was a similar product posted a few days ago here that is based in the UK.
