Hi mates,
When I play movies with the Kodi app on my "Nvidia Shield TV" the screen goes black for 2-5 seconds once in a while. Usually it's more frequent in the first half of a movie (every 5-20 minutes) and less frequent in the later parts.
Have anyone encountered the same problem or have ideas about how to solve it? It's really killing my home theater enthuaism.

You say it is killing your home theater enthusiasm, by chance are you running it through a home theater system? Like, HDMI out from the Shield to your sound system, to your Television? I have a similar issue, and it appears to me like an HDCP handshake issue. This weekend I am going to try plugging it directly up to my TV, and see if that fixes it. You might want to try the same, if you have a similar setup.
try to disable Adjust Display Refresh Rate or Sync Playback to Display in kodi
Not encountering this but are you playing local content or something online?
