The Nvidia Shield doesn't appear to have write access to NTFS or exFat drives. Is there any way of achieving this? I want to be able to sync an external server to the USB HDD, but nothing is able to write to it.
I've tried formatting the drive as NTFS and exFat to no luck. Fat32 isn't really an option due to the 4gb filesize limit.
Marshmallow isn't going to solve this problem either, since I don't want to 'adopt' a slow external HDD as internal storage - it'll slow down the entire device.
Does anyone here know if the Shield TV will read and write to USB storage formatted in EXT3/4?
I'm afraid you'd have to wait for marshmallow. It should be able to read ext, not sure for write though.
