Hey guys, I'm looking to get something on my shield tv that I can transfer my photo's from my iphone (sorry) to my shield.. Maybe something like google drive would be great?
If so how I do go about getting the apk's? And would it require sideloading?

As far as I know, there's no good way to view photos that are stored on the shield TV. The best way to display photos on your shield TV is to use the cast functionality from your iphone. You'll probably have to install the google photos app on your phone.
That said, ES File Explorer works for transferring files to the shield, and it does work with the regular controller, although it's a bit clunky.
If you only have the two devices, try installing es file explorer. You may need a mouse. Click network > cloud > then new. Click gcloud (not in front of the device, might be gdrive) and enter your Google Drive creds. That will get your shield access to the Google Drive it is associated with. I have no iPhone, but I assume there is a Google Drive app?
