Yo, does anyone know of any ways to listen to music while streaming games from PC on the SHIELD TV (or any Android TV device if relevant)? The GameStream app mutes all audio on the device other than the game, as well as anything that's not part of the game you're running on PC, so I figured maybe Steam music would work if you launched Steam and your game through big picture mode. Nope. The audio just doesn't play on the Android TV device, but does on the PC. Is there any workaround to this, or another way entirely to play music while gaming?
It comes down to the audio you hear is from whatever game is active or "focused" It likely has to do with the way audio pass through is handled. Hate to say it but it may just be easier to play music from another source in the living room and mix the volume manually. I don't have much experience with the Moonlight app, but I know it opens up some options that the official gamestream does not, while using an open source version of the same protocol. Also, you may try Remotr. I recently made a post in this sub about my experience with it. It does allow using the desktop to navigate, doing it this way MAY allow all audio sources to pass through. It will require you to download a "server" program to your computer and DL their app through the GP store on the Android TV
