how do you transfer a file from mac to the shield TV? reicast bios

by RockstarGTA6

I'm trying to put the dreamcast bios files in the internal drive of the nvidia shield tv , for the reicast emulator

i connected the shieldtv to the mac using the micro usb cable , using apps like ifunbox and idisk they don't see the shield

when i had the ouya i could just put the file on flash drive and transfer to the internal drive, i don't see that option here and i don't have a sd card

i was trying to avoid via vpn or torrent, i don't have any other android device to transfer from

The Android File Transfer tool should see your Shield on the Mac. Mac OS X doesn't have native support for MTP and PTP, for whatever reason. No idea why support isn't added. You can also use ES File Explorer to transfer from the USB drive to the Shield, but you may want to use a mouse to navigate.

Use the send to function in ES Explorer to send to or receive files from Dropbox.

I use sshdroid on AndroidTV and cyberduck on Mac/windows.

Could use ES file Explorer and link your Dropbox or Google Drive account. Then you just upload the stuff there, start ES, and copy them down.

SD cards, especially small ones, are dirt cheap, and with the 6.0 upgrade they'll be even more useful.
