Anyone else having problems with netflix deactivating on Shield TV.

by Corncove

At least once a day Netflix will get a ui error and say something about being deactivated and quit. The app will immediately display the error if I open it again. The only way I can get it to work again is rebooting the device.

Happens to me, too. Wish they'd fix it.

Sometimes it happens to me multiple times a day, but it hasn't happened in a week or two.

Ya it happens quite often.

Yes! Every time I use Netflix it deactivates after a period of time.

I've tried everything in an attempt to fix it: changed passwords, signed out of all accounts, opt-out and opt-in of their betas, downgrade the app - nothing works at all.

First login to Netflix then manually exit Netflix with the exit button in Netflix. This will fix it.

2 things, after you login exit the app manually (not by hitting home button) and make sure you have pulled app updates from the play store. Also, Netflix now supports Google smart lock so if you have that enabled at least you won't have to enter credentials

Happened here as well, but only once so far. Tried rebooting but didn't work. What did work was to go into settings and clear the appdata, and start Netflix after.

All the time. I end up force closing and reactivating. Luckily they added smart lock recently.
