They just need 1:1 Google cast features between Android TV and the chromecast platform. At the moment it's half baked.
I should for example, be able to stream from Spotify directly to my android TV via the cast protocol.
Android TV should be positioned as the full version of the Google living room experience. Chromecast should be the light basic version.
