I emailed the developers of the FuboTV app (live soccer streaming) about supporting Android TV. This was the answer:

It is definitely in our plans to develop an app for Android TV devices. I haven't been given any set time frame on when that might be released though. But please check back with us :)

For those of us who don't want to spend extra for soccer packages with Cable providers or SlingTV this looks like a good option (10 bucks a month)
