On a slightly related note, why does 23.976 content exist? I understand the NTSC change from 30 to 29.97 frames per second, to add the color subcarrier without conflict, by why apply the change to 24 fps content?

Sort of related, but I notice the skips on my ShieldTV as well. Is there a setting that I need to enable? Or is there an update that I might be missing?

I remember reading about it coming out, but don't believe that I've updated since, and I haven't had the free time to look into it.

Any help is appreciated, as it drives me half-nuts.

This actually requires special hardware to achieve. What's unclear is if the Intel chip even has this hardware.
