Does anyone have suggestions for apps to play music stored on a CIFS share?

I've installed VLC for AndroidTV, but there's no option to add network shares under settings -> directories, and the network option just says "directory is empty".

The Google Play store has plenty of apps for streaming Pandora/Spotify/etc, but nothing to play music from local file shares.
