I've been looking around to find if anyone has been having the same flickering issue as they were with the Vizio but couldn't find any for LG. Was curious if anyone here has had a problem or if it's being fixed like the Vizio. I've submitted feedback about it to Nvidia.
I have a 4k VISIO m-65. I don't have an Android TV plugged into it but I do use a Windows 10 HTPC with it. Sometimes (maybe one every couple weeks) it outputs 1080i instead of 2160p. The VISIO TVs don't handle interlaced video very well.
I could be wrong but it might be AndroidTV itself? I sometimes see flickering on my Nexus player, and I have a high quality HDMI cable
This is also a problem with HDMI pass-through via Denon receivers (assuming we're talking about the same flicker where the screen goes black for a second). Considering the number of different devices that seem to be affected, I suspect the Shield TV itself.
Only time I see any flickering is sometimes with 24p content and I have to change inputs back and forth to get it to stop.I assumed it was because of my TV
I have a nexus player, lg 4k TV, and denon av receiver with HDMI pass through and I am seeing the same issue
Have a vizio and shield, no flicker issue.
I can't help you, but thank you for bringing this bug to my attention. I thought it was my TV or HDMI cable.
