Keyboard/Touchpad Recommendations

by ma1r

I currently own a Nexus Player and I'm going to be installing the Full Android 6.0.1 v.1.3 OS onto the NP.

I am looking between the Logitech K830 & K400 .

I've seen a lot of people talk about iPazzPort/Rii/Favi. Are there any major differences other than size? Price isn't a big concern to me, functionality is important.

Side question: Are there any other OS's I should potentially look at installing instead of the Marshmallow OS?

Thanks for any help!

I've been using the K400 for years. Works great with the Nexus Player

K830 is heavier by 100g's, I didn't want the illumination and rechargeable battery in k830 vs. AA in K400 so will need to charge vs replacing batteries every few years.

All I want is the Razer Turret, but it's no where in sight :(

I found on my Shield TV that any keyboard/touchpad combos that require a USB 2.4ghz wireless receiver have nearly no range on just the Shield TV for some reason. I have the K400 and have used it for years on my Mac Mini that I used as my primary HTPC prior to getting the Shield. My Shield literally sits right next to my Mini now and for whatever reason, I have to stand right in front of the Shield TV to use any keyboard/touchpad that uses the dongle.

When I use it on my Mac Mini, I can sit far away without issue.

Anyway, I got tired of standing right next to the Shield TV all the time and just bought this and received it yesterday. It uses bluetooth. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015J6TEN8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

Works perfectly and I can use it from far away. Has a backlight for the keys and I'm impressed with the keyboard. I've used smaller devices like this in the past and have always found the keys to be hard to use but this thing actually works surprisingly well.
