SD Card problems on 3.0 (Marshmallow)?

by Elasion

So I just installed 3.0 on my Nvidia Shield and I also got a PNY Micro SD Card (32 GB//60 mbps) for the update which is suppose to allow easy cross over btwn micro SD's and internal storage.

Anyway, I updated and it prompted my PNY SD card to use the new feature but it said that "This SD Card appears to be slow...recommend a Class 10 or higher one..." This SD Card is Class 10, UHS-1 which is a lot faster than the 10mbps. Also when formatting it appeared as "Lexar SD Card" even though its PNY.

Anyone else having similar problems?

UPDATE: I've done the default migrating of apps and data over to the card and it seems to work fine, no latency issues or anything. The formatting was also quick (1-2 mins) and the setting up and data moving took about 5 mins. My bet is it's recognizing it as a different card (Lexar in this case) which probably has a slower read/write so I got the warning - But no issues yet.

I bought this PNY 128GB card. It was identified as a Lexar but did not say it was slow.

I'm guessing that the manufacturer might have fibbed on some of the specs. It's pretty common actually.

I am using a G.Skill 64GB Class 10 UHS-1 card I got from NewEgg. No messages about it being slow.

I did plug in an external usb 3.0 drive though and got a message about being slow, which was disappointing.
