I need a little help. I recently purchased a Sony XBR 810C. It's great TV-wise but as an AndroidTV, not so much. It worked fine initially but at some point the Play Store stopped working. It starts, but whenever I try to download an app, I'm instantly booted back to the home screen. Basically, I can't install anything anymore. Same goes with GameHub--it starts, but whenever I try to download something, I get booted.
My previously download apps and included apps (like YouTube) work fine, so my network connection and connection to Google seem fine.
I know this isn't much to go on, but if anyone can offer some suggestions (even on how to debug this), I'd appreciate it.
This appears to be a Sony network problem worldwide. Since about 24 hours ago, no one can connect to anything from a Sony device. Sony TVs, Blu Ray players, etc. None can connect to Netflix, Pandora, Amazon, Store, etc. The network connection seems to be fine, but their network seems to be the problem. Interestingly enough, it looks like Samsung had the same problem yesterday. That seems to be fixed now. No idea if it's related or not.
Here's a link to a forum with Sony BDP customers all over the world reporting the same problem as of today. Link
So rest assured, your AndroidTV is probably just fine. :)
