Well it at least has Chromecast support, so you can cast it to your Android TV Devices. Or at least you SHOULD be able to. Gotta see if it works with the Shield TV and Nexus Player.
Even though it's available everywhere, there's still a huge roadblock for me; it's not available on Android. I have a PlayStation 3 & 4, but only use those for gaming. If consoles lasted forever, I'd use them for streaming too. But I have a 4k Sony Android TV. Why the fuck is it not available on that or any Sony Android phones?!?
As much as I wanted this, I won't be purchasing it until I can use it on my Nexus 5, Sony Android TV, Nexus Player, etc.
As soon as I can get this on my Nexus Player I am completely on board. Sling doesn't do it for me, but I like what is on offer here.
Has anyone tried to create a home vpn and let family members log into it to share the subscription?
Hmm looking at the lineup it's decent the main attraction I see is ESPN and all included abc, cbs, fox etc. DVR capability is the other big draw. Might be decent but if you have regular cable anyway you get a lot of these channels with ESPN being the big odd man out attraction.
Reading the description in the App Store it looks like you need a PS4? Or am I mistaken? I'm on iOS till my Galaxy S7e gets here.
How easy would it be to pull the VUE apk off the Fire TV and install it to Android TV?
This would be great on Android. Not to mention if they make it work on Live Channels. That would be an awesome bonus. Sling is cheap @ $14 for me but it would have to go if I can get this on the Shield. I rather not run this on my ps3

If it was just Android TV support missing, I would be a bit more worried. I am hoping this is just a rushed release/not wanting to add too many customers at once. Additionally, Sony makes a line of smart tvs that are powered by Android TV, so I can't imagine they wouldn't want to slap this service on those tvs as a system app with an extended free trial included with purchase.
Anyway, if/when this gets Android TV support, we will be switching from Sling TV. Its $10 more, but it gives you:
cloud DVR
multiple simultaneous streams
more channels
login credentials for mobile apps
on demand content for ABC, Fox, and NBC
