NP issues with Netflix

by Footstick

Wondering if someone has or had the same issue as me with my Nexus Player. So I recently purchased a NP and decided to get an OTG adapter for internet (some apps were running too slow with wifi). Every app that I use (Plex, Youtube, Kodi, Twitchtv) seem to to run beautiful with no stutter or anything, BUT when I play stuff on Netflix, it stutters and is unbearable to watch.

When I disconnect the ethernet and connect via wifi, the other apps run somewhat "OK", but Netflix runs beautifully and barely if no stutters occur.

Anyone have any idea why and IF there is is a way to fix this?

TIA!

Just commenting to say that I experience the same issue. All other apps run beautifully on ethernet, Netflix stutters a lot. I have not tried Netflix without ethernet as I don't want to constantly go back and forth so I just use my Roku for Netflix instead.

No stuttering on mine with ethernet. My adapter is ethernet and 3 USB3 ports from Anker.

If I had to guess, the Ethernet adapter you're using may bottleneck speeds, which Netflix doesn't account for.

It may expect increased bandwidth since it's hard-line and try to stream full quality, but my usb Ethernet adapter is actually 10/100 and slower than wifi.

I don't have the exact same problem, but I do have another problem with Netflix on the NP. I ended up downloading the phone/tablet version.

I have the same problem.

Happens on TED too.

I actually just recently switched from WIFI to ethernet on my Nexus Player. It never did this before, but I thought I had about 2 weeks jitter free on Netflix before this started happening. Could be my imagination though.
