What PVR works well with HDHomeRun Prime?

I've been happily using HDHomeRun Prime with several Nexus Players.

I have two cable boxes that I still use because I use the DVR which continues to be frustrating.

What PVR works well with this setup? Is there something that allows time-shifting and/or auto-delete of commercials that works well with my setup?

I use NextPVR on an always-on machine for the PVR function then use MCEBuddy to strip commercials and re-encode.

Your best bet is using kodi as a front end. But first you'll need to set up a compatible back end.

SageTV. Google open-sourced it last year after acquiring it a few years back to be the technology behind their FiberTV offering. Since then, there's been an Android client developed and the backend continues to be developed by a small but dedicated community.
