Force stop the app?

I noticed on bootup last night that mine sat on the startup with a blank screen. Finally showed the screen, but I couldn't control it with either the remote or the controller. Finally started responding after a very long, laggy wait.

Mine was doing this tonight - well, the icon spinning then getting an error.

It worked after 5-6 retries.

Weird thing is anything else I tried to do on the Shield though, eventually Netflix would re-load itself.

I've put it down to ghosts and turned it off for the night.

Yes the exact same thing happened and it still didn't work today and I did the obvious stesp that have already been mentioned I sure as hell don't want to do a factory reset it would be to time consuming to add everything back with settings and sideloaded apps

Just came home it appears to be working now
