Minecraft Pocket Edition appears to be almost fully compatible with Android TV!

by GazaIan

A user on AndroidPolice pointed out that it could now be installed on Android TV through the Play Store. I installed it from the web Play Store, and it worked, but the app doesn't appear in the Leanback launcher :( you still have to launch it through settings. But it appears to have full controller support and everything worked great on my Shield.

Perhaps you guys should email Mojang and ask them to add support for the Leanback launcher!

Just spam them with tweets. I've been playing it for awhile on AndroidTV. It's not as good as keyboard and mouse but its better then touch screen.

I side loaded it on my shield tv a while back and it woul kinda load, but the colors were screwed up and it was unplayable. Since thier last update the problems were fixed, however now when I play it I have no idea what to do control wise when it comes to the menus and inventory screen.

Just in time. I'm setting up my Pi 2 as a Minecraft server for me and my son.

Add Leanback support using App Cloner then just sideload it to the TV
