Why? Plex is an on demand media center. The talk about having different playlists running simultaneously would put a lot of unnecessary stress on the server (transcoding multiple streams at once).

Plex, and others alike (emby, kodi etc.), work fine the way they are. Google's live channels app is meant for... Well live channels.

Inb4: "Google play movies and tv does it too with trailers". Yeah they do, and it's utterly pointless.
