Brand new to the android space. Please steer me in the right direction.

To be up front I'm an iOS/Mac guy through and through but I need to replace some roku's in my house.

I stream all of my content from my nas to all my other devices and use plex to play content. I am familiar with kodi and can use it but I like how plex keeps track of watched status across all my devices. Can I use plex?

For my sports I either use sportsnet.ca, tsn.ca or nba.com so I either need flash support or Chrome desktop browser, is this possible? Does the browser work the same way as a desktop (any limitations)?

Being that I'm on iOS are there any decent remote options or do I have to buy a mouse/keyboard?

Lastly, given everything I need what are some of my best box options I should look to buy?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Nvida Shield is the best Android TV device by far. You can run Plex and Kodi. It has a native NBA app you can use. The chrome browser is available via the play store and can be pushed to the Shield. With the Chrome Browser you can change it to full desktop mode and access just about any site. The game controller stick can be used as a mouse. You can currently find deals that have a game controller with a media remote included that is normally 49.99. In addition, a new app is available via IOS that allows you to use you're Iphone as a remote.

Plex is available everywhere. It runs great on Android and Android TV devices.

Android TV is basically Android with a more limited app ecosystem tailored to leanback/couch apps. If need be, you can use Google Cast to cast almost anything from a Mac to your TV.

Android just brought the Android TV Remote app to iOS earlier this week.

Lastly, you have two options: the Nexus Player that is incredibly hard to find for sale anywhere, and the expensive and very awesome NVIDIA Shield

Maybe at Google I/O they'll have a new NP to sell. Other than that, I would say replace your Roku's with the new $50 Roku Streaming Stick. I hear good things.

What Joe said. Actually, nVidia is running a special where they give you two controllers now.

You can get the two controller option for $199.00 or for $225.00 the controller and media remote. The IOS phone app does have voice search included so it's just depends on what you value more

I was looking at this but I think it may be overkill for my needs. Especially considering I have an Xbox one for gaming. I need strictly for media
