Hi all, my apologies if this is the wrong forum (please move if so), I didn't know where exactly to post this despite much searching.
I have a new Smart TV on the way (Hisense 50M3300 - http://www.richersounds.ie/p-202001-50m3300.aspx ). I'm wondering if I need to buy an android box or equivalent in order to watch live sports etc. or will I already have this capability on the TV?
I also know nothing about the various boxes and am at a loss as to what would suit best. I'd like something that can stream in 4K (if even possible). I saw that Fire TV is supposed to be good? Honestly all the different websites are making it difficult to know what's best. I'm sure boards will know the best value boxes also.
If anyone needs any more information, please ask. I would appreciate any help or guidance.
Thanks in advance.
I am in Europe if that makes any difference.
Well, for 4K Streaming boxes, you only have the Fire TV and Shield Android TV. Of the two, I prefer the Shield TV. It's the one Set Top Box that has the pure power you're looking for. It's got support for 5.2/7.2 Surround Sound, 4K Output, Nvidia GameStream (Streaming games from Steam from an Nvidia graphics card on your computer to your console) and all sorts of other additions including the fact that it's also a built-in chromecast with google cast reciever installed. And of course, you can run Kodi on it.
