Game compatibility with ANDROID TV's

by jperk8

Is Tomb Raider II, Grim Fandango, Chrono Trigger, FFVI, SONIC CD, compatible with androids TV's?

If you want an Android TV specifically for games (or at least a big focus) I'd go with the Shield TV. While it is more expensive, it is much more powerful and in addition you get new games specifically made for the Shield through the Nvidia Store (in addition to the android tv games).

You can also very easily emulate games without a hick up up including the PSX era (upresed) so maybe except for Grim Fandango you can just emulate all those games via Retroarch (which I'd recommend since it's also free and offers a lot of cores=emulators+shaders) or emulators specific to a system.

Guessing this is a pre-purchase question, which is why you can't check for yourself.

On my Nexus Player only FFVI came up in the store. More might be supported on Nvidia shield TV, but I cannot verify.

Thanks for checking. So not even TRII shows up? And there is different compatibility between the different android TV devices? I can't even find Nexus player...its sold out everywhere...

Should I get a chromecast 2 for screen mirroring my android games on my HDTV or can I do that w/ nexus as well?
