I could see 2 issues: 1: Is your internet connection stable? Maybe it stops because it can't stream the song you want to play 2: Automatic Standby. Does it stop after 30 min of doing nothing else with your Shield? I've set DayDream to 5 min and automatic standby to 30 min. There is a option for "Dont show daydream while playing music". If you don't activate this your shield will enter standby after 30 min of doing nothing with it even while playing music. (You can find this option in the DayDream Settings)
I've had this issue before and I wish I had a fix for it. Though I haven't noticed it occuring since the latest system update.
Having the same issues. Disabled sling recommendations but it's still happening. To be fair though I haven't done a restart of my Nexus player so it could just be that.
I had a issue with Kodi randomly pausing and uninstalling sling TV solved it.
