I've been looking all over for an offloaded APK of the Playstation Now Android TV app, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm aware it comes on Sony Smart TVs, but I can't afford to go buy a new TV for a single app. If someone here knows where I could find it, or is willing to offload it, I would very much so appreciate it. You know you need a ps4 controller to play PlayStation now? It wont work with a ps3 or other controller... Just letting you know
I extracted it and sideloaded it. I got an error about not having Amazon app installed. I sideloaded it and then tried launching PlayStation app and it said it wasn't compatible with this device. I don't have a screen rotation app installed on my Nexus player, but on the shield tablet I was able to get past this error with the Netflix for Android TV app by rotating the screen.
Edit: I extracted it from a fire stick, not Sony TV.
How will this PS service be on an 8MB DSL. Will the quality be any good? Do any other controllers work or it HAS to be PS4? Could I use my PSP through the remote play of that device to play?
FYI, this is one of the first things I did when I got my Sony TV, just for fun. There is in fact an APK, but I knew it wouldn't work on any other Android device and it definitely does not. As it is a system app for Sony Bravia TVs, it won't even attempt to install it on any other device.
